Time and tide wait for no man. Perhaps centuries ago, the fabled city of Tartessus rose here and sank under the sand, as archeologists thought a century ago. Perhaps the bleached skeletons of tourist apartments will overcome the dunes. Here, though, Muñoz Rivas upends our panoramic vision through the enigmatic men who live as hermits between the roar of the waves and blowing of the sand.
